It can be an option when a tooth is affected by infection or damage but can still be preserved with appropriate treatment. The cost is available upon consultation and depends on the tooth involved, number of root canals, complexity of the case, and whether an additional restoration such as a dental crown is required. Treatment usually takes one to two appointments, depending on the condition of the tooth and extent of the infection, with each appointment taking approximately 60–90 minutes. Following root canal treatment, the tooth may require a crown or another type of restoration to protect it from fracture, particularly when a significant amount of tooth structure has been lost.
